Crazy to see how much has happened the past year. 2015 was a game changer.

I'm going to keep an eye on Brendan Lemieux. I think this was the make or break in the Tyler Myers trade. I would have loved to have kept him. Goal a game pace in the OHL this year.

yeah, really didn't like having to part with him...however, he was a must have for cheveldayoff...that said, he may end up as a bottom-six/top-nine player with bite and some scoring acumen...not losing any sleep over him yet

Sorry but, I carried this over from last blog.

the draft lottery is the worst thing in sports. The fact that a good team can have injuries to stars/bad stretches and just miss out on playoffs have the chance to get 1st overall is a joke. The reason why the worst team drafts 1st is so they can become competitive and win games. You're pretty much punishing teams for being bad. Unreal lol. Definitely with this being a salary cap league. One of the few proven ways to get out of the basement is through the draft. And usually players picked 1st or 2nd overall are much better than those picked 3,4,5 etc.
- Smittyx36

I get that Smitty, I really do.
But then on the other hand you have GM's like Murray that make a mockery of the system and blatantly trade off good parts and bring in bad parts.
Something needed to be done because of GM's like Murray that feel the only way that he can build a winning team is to deliberately fail and then get rewarded for making a mockery of a game so rich in history that would squash Murray like the spineless cockroach that he is.
Hard for this guy to respect someone like that

If the rumors were true about him, and funny how they never come out until after we trade them, then I don't know how I feel about it. I kind of liked him as a player and obviously like his production now, but you're a prospect, where do you get off?

That was the piece I felt was the over payment by Murray in that deal.
Bogosian is worse than average.
I disliked Myers but i'd take Myers back in a NY minute over Bogosian.
Where is this Kasdorf fellow?
I copied and pasted this next part.
Seriously look at this deal and try to tell me that Murray did not get taken out back behind the woodshed and get the (frank) beaten out of him.
I wish the stupid would have beaten out of him to boot....but no such luck.

The Sabres have completed a blockbuster trade.

Buffalo has sent defenseman Tyler Myers, right wing Drew Stafford, prospects Joel Armia and Brendan Lemieux, plus a 2015 first-round pick (whichever one ends up being the latest in the round) to the Winnipeg Jets for right wing Evander Kane, defenseman Zach Bogosian and goaltending prospect Jason Kasdorf.

Kasdorf is a college goalie and actually hasn't looked that bad. Believe he plays for RPI. Baker talks about him once in a while. Not saying he'll ever do anything, just answering the rhetorical question

I don't know enough about him. Last blog's comments said that he's perpetually a negative player and isn't that good. That being said, I'd kick, but I don't know how much I'd give.

when you play on bad teams, your going to be on the ice when you press for that goal to tie the game, and empty netters get scored on you

19 points in 18 playoff games
minute eater
puck mover
physical when needed to be
has to play good for next contract, due to parents screwing him out of money
left handed shot
